“GRANDEUR MARKS CAMPION SCHOOL ANNUAL INTER HOUSE SPORTS DAY 2024 “TAGORE HOUSE” BAGGED OVERALL CHAMPION HOUSE AWARD

The school playground of Campion School, Arera Colony Bhopal was filled with great zeal, excitement and a Playful atmosphere today as the Students of Secondary celebrated and organised its Annual Inter House Sports Day 2024. The playground had been decorated with flags, buntings and balloons a day earlier. Almost 1000 students from the Secondary school participated in the event. The Principal father Dr. Athnas Lakra SJ, Chief Guest of the occasion Superior & Manager Fr. Kapil Xaxa, Vice Principal Fr. Alok and other dignitaries formally commenced the programme and then the oath ceremony was held. The chief guest declared the sports meet open. Principal Fr. welcomed the esteemed gathering and the dignitaries present on the dais, parents, staff and students of Campion. The fantastic turnout by the students of the four houses i.e., Nehru House, Ashoka House, Tagore House and Gandhi House of the School and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the Athlete’s students on their sports day. As class VI to XII scorched the racing tracks, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Students of different age groups like Sub-junior, Junior, Interns and Seniors took part in various sports events like 100 mtrs. Finals. Sub-junior and junior 4X100 mtrs. Relay. Interns and seniors 4X400 mtrs. Relay by students is one of the major attractions of this day. Students prepared themselves for this mega event under the Leadership of Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra SJ and under the guidance of Physical Education Department HOD Mr Johnsy Koshy. On this occasion, scholarship medals, trophies, shields, and cups were also distributed to various students in the school's annual awards in different categories like sports, education, art, etc. Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra, S.J. and Vice-Principal Fr. Alok Kujur S.J., give their best wishes and Congratulated Mr. Johnsy Koshy and other sports teachers and all the Medallists students for their Best, excellent and extraordinary performance in this Mega event. Overall Champion House award bagged by Tagore House. A Vote of thanks was given by Management Committee member Miss Veena Bhambhal.  Lastly Chief Guest declared the sports meet closed. Students cheered for themselves and signed out for the day and it was over with the National Anthem.

ST. EDMUND CAMPION FEAST DAY CELEBRATION-PRIMARY SECTION

  Campion family celebrates’ The Campion Feast day’ on 1st December every year. The day marks the feast of St. Edmund Campion, the patron Jesuit Priest after whom this magnanimous institution has been named. Remembering his teachings and principles Campion Bhopal (Primary wing) celebrated this day with great zeal and enthusiasm on 30th November, 1st December being a holiday. The students presented a prayer dance to seek God’s blessings, a beautiful skit was enacted by the students to comemorate the great Jesuit Priest St. Edmund Campion and his teachings. All the members of the management, the Jesuits of Campion family Bhopal where honored and felicitated during the programme. The celebration was enhanced by a celebration dance by the students. The teachers too wished everyone and expressed their joy for the occasion by singing a song. Finally the gathering was blessed by Dr. Fr. Athnas Lakra S.J. the principal. The entire programme was meticulously planned under the guidance of Sr. Renisha A.C, the Headmistress. In all it was a great celebration extending Love and Peace all around the premises. We wish Happy Feast Day to each and every member of Campion Family.


COUNSELING SESSION FOR THE STUDENTS OF STD VI TO XII ORGANISED ON THE TOPIC OF

Counseling session for the students of Std VI to XII organised today on the topic of "Mental Health in Adolescents" by Dr.Rishi Malik MD Psychiatry - Gold Medalist (Ex-campionite 2009 batch) in the Loyola Auditorium. Dr. Rishi Malik is an ex Campionite, having completed his schooling in 2009. He is now a distinguished psychiatrist with over 8 years of extensive experience in various psychiatric specialties and is an expert at Child & Adolescent Mental Health. He is currently the consultant psychiatrist at Apollo Sage Hospital Bhopal and also Assistant professor at RKDF Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. He did his MBBS from KMC, Manipal and earned his Gold Medal in Psychiatry from Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur. He further honed his skills through the prestigious MTI Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatry in the UK. He has also trained in Psychoanalysis from the Institute of Psychoanalysis in London. With 4 years of clinical practice in the UK and over a year as a psychiatrist at AIIMS Bhopal, Dr. Malik brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to his patients. Dr Rishi is immensely proud of his association with Campion school and wants to use his knowledge to make students all more aware about mental health issues during school life.

November 26 marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1949, which came into effect on January 26, 1950. 

On this special occasion, the following students gave their speeches on the importance of the Constitution and read out the Preamble -

CUBBING INVESTITURE CEREMONY (Primary wing)

CUBBING INVESTITURE CEREMONY was held in Campion school, (Primary wing) on Saturday, 23rd NOVEMBER. Around 325 students were invested. Dr.Fr .Athnas Lakra S J., the Principal presided over the occasion along with Sr. Renisha A.C.(Headmistress) and Sr.Crescentiya SSC. The programme started with the welcoming of the guests followed by flag hoisting ceremony. The first batch of Bulbuls of Campion Bhopal who are presently in class 5 also participated in the ceremony Before the 'Grand Howl' the cubs and bulbuls took the oath and were also invested with scarf, badge, left hand shake and salute .The cubs expressed their respect and gratitude with Scout clap. Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra blessed the newly invested cubs with his words. The programme ended with the song 'When you are happy and you know it, clap your hands .......'.


BAAL MELA MARKS CHILDREN’S DAY IN SECONDARY SECTION. CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATED WITH FUN & FROLIC AT CAMPION

Campion School, Arera Colony celebrated Children’s Day today with full zeal, Fun, Frolic and Enthusiasm on School Premises. The school organised a ‘Baal Mela’ to mark Children’s Day. A special celebration was organized by the school management, teachers and staff for the students. The programme began with the Lighting of the lamp & garlanded on the photo of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru by Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., Superior and Manager Fr. Kapil, Vice Principal Fr. Alok Kujur., Headmistress Sr. Renisha A.C. and students. After the Formal opening declaration of Fete by the Principal father field on the school premises was abuzz with activities. This Year to celebrate Children’s Day with a difference, the School organised a Fair, Fete or Stalls, especially for Students today at the school premises. An array of stalls with mouth-watering food items, exciting games stall, DJ, Camel ride, Paint your plant green, Selfie point, Talent hunt, and surprising gifts were the main attractions of the fete. The fair, held at the playground, made the school premises more vibrant and cheerful. The teachers put up various food stalls offering a variety of lip-smacking snacks. Multiple stalls of food items and fun games for the students were put up by enthusiastic teachers on the School grounds. It was a festive atmosphere with children accompanying by their school friends and participating in various activities. The idea was to look beyond the curriculum and celebrate their individuality. Fete was a wonderful day filled with much laughter, fun and community spirit-building activities.  The Cultural Committee, and the wider teacher body, worked tirelessly to prepare for the day. The rides, games, Mouth-watering food arena, dancing, DJ, and The main attraction of the day for which the students were waiting was Live DJ & Rock Band and live entertainment were all​extremely successful. The school’s Live DJ Rock band also played some foot-tapping music. Students took turns to shake a leg on the dance floor. These events aren’t just a celebration but also develop planning, organization and team effort abilities in the students. They are creatively designed, encouraging 100% participation of students and teachers. Various activities and events were organized and performed by teachers. Programmes included informative play, enactment and songs. Colourful programmes were presented by teachers of the school to celebrate Children's Day. It was a fun-filled day for students of School. The smiles, laughter and giggles added to the charm of the day. “Baal-Mela” concluded with a jam session where students rocked the floor on foot tapping numbers. Prizes distribution also took place at the end of the programme. Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., expressed gratitude to all the participants. Vice-Principal teachers and all the students were present to make the occasion a great success and a memorable one.

CHILDREN'S DAY WAS CELEBRATED WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM, FUN AND FROLIC IN THE PRIMARY SECTION.

Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, fun and frolic. The students were allowed to come in colourful dresses which added to the colourful celebration. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp by the Head boy, Asst. Head girl of Primary and some student representatives along with the members of management. A Special prayer session was organised with best wishes for their future life and blessings from the teachers. Teachers presented a prayer dance which was really a soulful rendition.KG teachers stole the show with their energetic dance performance. The icing on the cake was 'the Bollywood Tadka' in which teachers performed on some catchy Bollywood numbers. The children enjoyed the programme very much as their faces radiated their inner happiness.


SUPER CHEF JUNIOR 2024 - SEASON VIII

Jagran School of Hospitality and Tourism (JLU) organized ‘Super Chef Junior 2024 - Season VIII’ from the 24th of October to the 26th of October. Many schools participated. Campion school also took part in it. All the teams had to qualify two rounds to reach the final. 

Top 10 Teams competed for the top three.

Each Team had to prepare the following using the ingredient’s given in the basket.

One Vegetarian Dish OR One Non-Vegetarian Dish

One Rice/ Noodles/Pasta Preparation

One Desert 

The Super Chef Junior was bagged by Arush Saxena & Achintya Sahu of class 12th.

CBSE & THINK STARTUP YOUTH IDEATHON 2024

CBSE & Think Startup organized Youth Ideathon 2024, a competition for Budding Entrepreneurs. The competition took place over a span of two months, with 50,000+ teams and 30,000+ schools across India. Our school also participated in it.

Two of our teams reached the Top 1500 across India and the students have been awarded a Certificate of Merit are:-
