As many as 163 Scout students of secondary classes of Campion School, Arera Colony, Bhopal along with three instructors and vice-principal escorts attended the five day Scout Camp at Pachmarhi in Hoshangabad district. The team is led by Campion School vice Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo S.J., as a Scouter Incharge and Johnsy Koshy as a Camp Leader along with Mr. Sanjay Mishra, Vibhore Tiwari as Instructor teachers from Campion School in this group camp. It was organised by the Bharat Scouts and Guides National Training Centre of Pachmarhi. The Scout Camp began with the hoisting and honour of unfurling the Scout flag by the Vice Principal Fr. Amritlal Toppo SJ & Mr. Johnsy Koshy. On this occasion Vice Principal Father welcomed all the Campion Scouts, Instructors etc and said, “It is noteworthy that the Scouts and Guides come from different parts of the country and work together as a unit. Moreover, camps are held in various parts of the country. This would have helped develop many friendships and, I hope, an appreciation for the wide diversity in our country.” Many activities were performed including making tent-house, Patrol, First Aid, Health rules, BP’s Six exercises, Woodcraft signs, Knots-reef knot, Sheet bend, Clove hitch, Sheepshank, Bowline, Fisherman, round turn two half hitches, Simple Drills, First-aid, Map sketches, stay in tents, Rock climbing, Crossing Carious Obstacles and Hurdles, Trekking on various historic and beautiful places like, Pandav Caves, Jatashanker, Rajendra Giri, Handi Khow, etc. Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J. was also present for one day in this Scout Camp to motivate all the Scout boys’ students.
